At X PRIZE we like to think of ourselves as one big family ? especially when you are on the ground, in the trenches with an active X CHALLENGE. When you see the competing teams day after day, working so hard to achieve their dreams of creating a new and inventive way or improved way of cleaning up surface oil spills, you get attached to them. You root for them ? all of them. These people, these strangers, they become your family. Oh sure you all have rules you have to follow (don?t we all) and yes, you all have your obvious heated debates, but in the end, when all is said and done ? you have created an extended family with the same goals. Where else can you experience this sort of team spirit?
?Our experience with the Wendy Schmidt Oil Cleanup X Challenge is one that we will never forget," team member Laura Di Bella said.
"From the moment we received the news of being a finalist, through the planning and manufacturing, to eventually setting foot at the OHMSETT Facility for testing, the unity and camaraderie that we encountered among our team was heartfelt and galvanized our efforts in getting the job done. We will forever be grateful to the X PRIZE Foundation for this amazing opportunity. The time and effort invested in the X CHALLENGE will be remembered fondly.?
To our extended Voraxial family, we at the X PRIZE Foundation applaud your efforts. We believe in your desire to better this industry and create an environment that is better than we found it ? cleaner, safer and stronger. We stand with you, side-by-side waiting for October 11th when all will be revealed.
?Regardless of the outcome, knowing in our hearts that the environment is the true winner is the best reward of all.?
